Arnold Schwarzenegger to Reprise His Role in New Conan Reboot

Deadline has reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger is apparently on board to reprise his breakthrough character- Conan the Barbarian- in a new film by Universal Pictures entitled “The Legend of Conan.” The film will be produced by Fredrik Malmberg (who runs Paradox Entertainment) and Chris Morgan (who was the screenwriter for The Fast and the Furious and Wanted). However, Deadline said “The caveat is that the studio wants The Legend of Conan for summer 2014, and Morgan might not be finished writing the seventh Fast and Furious installment by then. If that happens he will be a very active producer, because this is Morgan’s dream project.”

The new Legend of Conan movie will reportedly stick to the story of the original 1982 Conan the Barbarian. Fredrik Malmberg says “The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make. It’s that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle.” Schwarzenegger himself also added “I always loved the Conan character and I’m honored to be asked to step into the role once again. I can’t wait to work with Universal and the great team of Fredrik Malmberg and Chris Morgan to develop the next step of this truly epic story.”

As a huge Schwarzenegger fan, I, personally, am really excited for this new Conan movie, and I’m sure many other fans are too. Hopefully Chris Morgan will have enough time to be able to devote his time to help in the making of this movie and to see that this movie, with its rightful star, gets released in theaters.

ZTE Anthem Review

Metro PCS hasn’t been letting us down lately when it comes to Smart Phones, and today I bring you my review for the ZTE Anthem 4G. This device is one of the newer handsets to be released by Metro PCS, weighs in at 6.7oz., and the dimensions of the handset are recorded at 5.12″ x 2.68″ x 0.54″. When it comes to the screen, the Anthem has a 4.3″ WVGA Display and resolution at 400×800. The Anthem runs on Android OS 2.3 – Gingerbread, has a 1.2GHz dual-core sound processor, comes with Dolby Surround Audio (You don’t have to have it on. I had it off most of the time), has 4Gb of internal storage and 512mb of RAM. The Anthem comes with a 4GB microSD Card and comes equipped with a 5MP rear-facing camera, as well as a VGA front-facing camera.

The overall performance of the device was really well, although a few things about the device didn’t quite please me:
-For starters, on every other device I’ve used, when I had to hold it to my ear with my shoulder, there wasn’t a single issue with it. With the Anthem, however, people would either barely be able to hear me, I could barely hear them, or both.
-Yes, I had 4G on the entire time I had possession of the device, but even then the battery life didn’t seem quite spectacular. It just didn’t seem to hold a charge for too long. That, or I just used it a lot more than I noticed.
-Swype is wonderful, I’m sure we can agree on this, but I encountered a small bug with it on the Anthem. I’m not sure if it’s happened on other devices, but I would have to return to the home screen at times, and re-open the message I wanted to respond to so Swype would function the way it should.

There are two cameras on the device, as mentioned before. One is a 5MP rear-facing camera with flash feature, and the other is a VGA front-facing camera. The cameras both have rather wonderful quality, and you can also record up to 720p videos with the camera.

When it comes to battery life, the Anthem didn’t seem to hold much of a charge. I found myself having to carry a charger with me during the day, and if I was lucky I wouldn’t need it. Of course, like I said earlier, I had 4G on all the time, so I’m sure that assisted in draining the battery. There were no issues at all with the touch screen this time around, especially comparing to the problems I encountered with the Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G. Again, unfortunately, I was not able to take screenshots of the results from the Quadrant Benchmark or Speed Test, so I had to copy down the results and place them here:
